[Terra](/Terra) is the third closest planet to [Sol](/Sol), the sun in the center of our solar system. [Terra](/Terra) is the earth we call home.

Terra is also the [personification](/personification) of the non-living aspects of the Earth.  Her relationship with [Gaia](/Gaia), who is the personification of the biosphere, the living aspect of the Earth, is intense and intimate.  She is used by the SolSeed movement as a character in stories about Gaia.  Terra helps us create a distinction between the Earth as a valued place and the Earth as a shorthand for the valued [Life](/Life) on Earth.
