Terra is the third closest planet to Sol, the sun in the center of our solar system. Terra is the earth we call home.
Terra is also the personification of the non-living aspects of the Earth. Her relationship with Gaia, who is the personification of the biosphere, the living aspect of the Earth, is intense and intimate. She is used by the SolSeed movement as a character in stories about Gaia. Terra helps us create a distinction between the Earth as a valued place and the Earth as a shorthand for the valued Life on Earth.
