What is a Topical Community Protocol
A topical community protocol is a two part commitment. The first part of the commitment is to SolSeed to help it grow. The second part of the commitment is to help Kindred communities of the Greater Movement achieve their missions.
To grow, our tribe needs people who want to join it. Those who will want to join SolSeed hold values (conscious or subconscious) that are aligned with our values and those of the Greater Movement. We call such people and communities Kindred. Our values are specific and numerous and so someone who holds all of them will be quite rare. To find these people we need a wide net.
Our protocols must be designed to make use of modern communications to create just such a net. In detail our protocols will be lists of opportunities to communicate which we commit to take. Each item in the list will include a frequency (daily, weekly, monthly etc...) that we promise to communicate on that channel.
Each individual member will be the sole arbiter of questions about whether her or his protocol's are strong or deep enough commitments. Each individual who gives time to Bring Life to SolSeed and our Kindred helps no matter how little or how much they give. Each individual has their own outside committments, their own strengths and their own weeknesses. So noone is better placed to judge his or her contribution than the individual member themselves.
Commitments can be specifically loose. If an individual says they will look for oportunities, if they looked, even if they found nothing then they have met that commitment. It should be a joy to fulfill your protocol not an unending drudgery. If you have taken on too much or the wrong things, recognize that and release yourself from what is not working for you.
