- Eric … I am frazzled by the sort of good anxiety I’m feeling about all of this real estate dealing.
- Ben … I just re-read Accelerando and am now starting to re-read the Xenogenesis trilogy. They are both about colossal existential changes for humanity. I’m still nervous about the comparatively minor change where I am moving to a partially open office layout.
- Brandon … I spent some time on the EarthSeed Facebook group and I feel enthusiasm for what they are doing and for John and Tony.

Buckleberry Bed and Breakfast
- We might practice with Auberge Paradis, then build a bed & breakfast on the forest property Eric is looking into:
- Michelle wants to build hobbit holes (tiny houses with thick green roofs and round doors)
- May need a railing on the roof above the door and windows
- For now we'll just put a trailer on the property to stay in
- First we need to build a culvert across the ditch on the edge
- First structure would be built next year

Spring Equinox
- Boardgaming Gatineau 2-4 PM EDT and then pause for dinner
- Lunch in Redmond (sushi): at 1PM PDT
- Dinner in Ottawa (sushi) at 4 or 5 PM EDT
- Board gaming: 2-5 PM PDT, 6-8 PM EDT
- Storytelling: 5 PM PDT, 8 PM EDT

How close with Earthseed?
- John and Tony seem willing to combine efforts, with a few conditions attached
- Build it under the brand Earthseed (it seems to successfully attract people)
- John’s Conditions
- Unapologetically a religion
- Embrace theistic language (e.g., “God is Change”)
- Possibly the biggest stumbling block for Ben, and to a lesser extent Brandon
- Brandon thinks he can embrace it because the Gaia statue has shown the power of strong archetypes and personifications
- Tony's Conditions: unknown (he says "let's not reinvent the wheel")

- In general, how do we update the text we're getting from these novels?
- Our Conditions
- No belief in anything supernatural
- Eric is okay with involvement in more supernatural-friendly groups like Gaia's People Ottawa, but wouldn't abandon SolSeed if Earthseed has supernatural stuff in it
- Keeping The Destiny (aka Heaven) but perhaps moving toward calling it the Great Birthing
- Sustainability

- Brandon is willing to start over almost from the ground up in terms of the philosophy
- Eric plans to practice SolSeed until Earthseed catches up in terms of richness of practice
- John is okay with us throwing a lot of our ritual ideas, etc onto the Earthseed blog
- Ben: We should try to get John and Tony on one of these calls to talk about all this
- Brandon: If we move more toward Earthseed, we could maybe get some people like Kevin James Daniels back involved

- Brandon suggests we present a charter for a real-world Earthseed to present here, and try to get explicit permission to develop it from Octavia Butler's estate, which might have oversight privileges, get licensing fees, or something
- Do we need to be in at the start by joining John and Tony there?
- Likely difficult for the Sanders and Eric
- Sanders probably couldn't do both this and a visit to Gatineau
- Eric: A trip to Ottawa/Gatineau area this time next year might be better … the house will be better established, hopefully there will be a start on developing the forest land, and Eric will have some vacation time available … and maybe we could bring more people next year too!
- Ben: There will be some people who like the idea of making Earthseed real, but others who think we're crazy
- Eric: Next year on the Solstice will be Octavia Butler's virtual 70th birthday … great opportunity for an event
- Brandon: But we'd probably have to organize the event ourselves
