Eric's schedule
Eric can't travel for more than a weekend this summer due to all the building-related work
- Repairs, especially on the new house in Eganville
- Greycliff is ready for AirBnB, which means someone has to service it, and Patrick doesn't have a driver's license yet
Weekly Events Logistics
Service rotation: Eric, Ben, Brandon, Shelley, Shawn
- June 30th Service: 8:30 AM PST / 11:30 EST … Shawn
- July 1st Business Call: 8:30 AM PST / 11:30 EST
Meeting Time Change
Business calls
- 9:30 AM PT / 12:30 ET on Sundays?
- Brandon suspected Eric will have to hang around with Michelle for a while after the services
- Eric thinks it would work ... It's only a 15-minute walk home from the church
- Might have to eat during the meeting
- But Brandon would prefer this over the evening
- 5 PM PT / 20:00 ET?
- Could be a problem on weeks when Eric travels back to Gatineau from Eganville
- But would be good for Eric in that it doesn't break weekends in half in summer … he could make the call after spending the weekend at Greycliff
- Shawn would be fine with either time, although if a 9:30-10:30 call runs long, it might run into an 11 AM activity he's planning to restart
Services
- 9:30 AM PT / 12:30 ET on Saturday?
- Brandon could play basketball 7-9 AM
- Brandon suspected Eric would be okay with it
- Eric could do it but he prefers earlier … lets him leave for other activities (e.g. going to Greycliff) earlier in the afternoon
- Ben would benefit because the Ryan House check-in meetings are currently scheduled for 8-9 AM on Saturdays
- Shawn could do either later or earlier, since he's planning to start getting up earlier anyway

Year Plan
August Unconference
Shawn: Open Space is generally designed for 20 people or more
- Ben: We could switch to WikiVanning if there aren't that many
- Ben: We've also held some smaller Open Space unconferences
- Eric: Not as much choice of sessions to attend, but it works
Shawn would be okay with going to Seattle
- Ben thinks it's unlikely to work for the Sanders, but would be good for getting Star Community people to attend and even provide a venue
- Reminder: Shelley would likely not be comfortable meeting at a house full of poly people
- Would Ted's family and/or Abigail/Matt be willing to travel?
- Ben thinks Abigail and Matt would likely be okay with it
Who to invite?
- Rico (and family?)
- He'd likely want to know more about it before committing
- He has different ideas about community-building than what we usually talk about
- Ben: Diversity of ideas is a good thing

Two-track concept
- Eric: Do a Gaia Scouts event?
- Ben: Would need an outdoor venue with some parkland to explore
- Ben: Making art about community (both kids and adults), if possible with Kelsey from Star Community as a leader
- Shawn: Science stuff, e.g. Mr. Wizard-style experiments
- Shawn: Abigail and Matt likely have some good ideas for kid activities
Venue
- Shawn: The Sanders have a bit of woods and a wetland near their house
- Eric: Plus a pool to cool off after exploring
- Shawn: does the pool have a clubhouse with meeting space? The Sanders house might be too small for the unconference
- Shawn: Tabor Space + Mt. Tabor
- Tabor Space has multiple rooms, low charge per
- Tabor Space also has kitchen and outdoor area
- Mt Tabor available for hiking, outdoor activities and picnicking/bbqing (perhaps)
- Ben: Marquam Nature Park, if the weather's really good?
- Has that awesome shelter
- Likely other outdoor meeting spaces could be found around there?
- Eric: On the 4T Trail
- Ben: Tryon Farm
- Eric: I loved the plum trees, and the way they were working so hard at building community, sustainable construction, etc
Evaluation
- Ben: … Biggest thing that occurs to me is looking forward to seeing Eric in person and having him meet Shawn … also glad that we can make progress on the event planning without requiring Brandon’s involvement.
- Eric … The idea of seeing you guys in person excites me
- Shawn … I am also excited to see Eric in person. I am interested in seeing how this progresses and what it becomes … I am hoping that it is something productive and fun.

Our shared aspirations are grand, and somewhat intimidating to imagine actually achieving. May we take on the next steps on this path as we see the mountain heights so far ahead, with such a steep climb. May we do the work together. -- Blessed Be
