Opportunity Sketch
Create a SolSeed business/CEELSS experiment, in the Ottawa area, that is based around moving habitat in time rather than space! This would work by building a geodesic dome over a section of forest (a dome perhaps 200 feet tall or more). The dome would actually be two domes of almost the same size one inside the other. The space between the two domes would be insulated and the outer dome would be covered in solar panels. The power from the panels would be stored and then used to power lights inside the dome in order time shift the day length aspects of the seasons within the dome. Ice ponds and geothermal heating would allow us to time shift the thermal aspects of the seasons too.
The forest inside the dome would be outfitted with recreational equipment, for instance, a zip line, a water slide, a pond and/or a waterfall. An adjoining bed and breakfast would be available for visitor accomodation and the whole thing would be run as a resort allowing people to go for winter holidays in the sun without leaving the frigit Ottawa area.
Outcomes
- A large scale CEELSS experiment which is self funding.
- Many people get exposure to SolSeed as a business with an interesting philosophy.
- We can use the funding to carefully move the experiment closer to true CEELSS status or create more adjoining domes that are dedicated to CEELSS experimentation rather than the business.
- We can use additional domes as experimental green houses for breeding more advanced trees capable of flourishing in environments where no currently extant tree can flourish today.

- A park where SolSeed can experiment will all of its favorite technologies.
- More exposure.
- More money to grow our park.
