Discussion
Enright Ridge, Cincinnati, is an urban ecovillage example.
- It grew from one house and now encompasses 80 buildings containing 90 households
- They estimate the people "involved" are 1/3 supporters of the ecovillage, 1/3 open to the idea, and 1/3 indifferent
- They're on a long dead-end street
- Ben: This likely helps, not being too intermingled with mainstream life
- Brandon: Close to jobs, but far/separate enough to be "going to a place"
- Home prices are low, so easier for unconventional people to make it work
