- Eric … wow, what a busy time is coming up … I have a dinner tonight for UU and one tomorrow night for Michelle's charity's landlords … I also need to figure out how to do the service call on Saturday with the tree planting and a bunch of other stuff happening that day … I think I'll get sleep, but there are several meals I don't have a plan for
- Ben … So speaking of sleep, I spent hours last night lying awake being fairly freaked out that California is using oil drilling waste water to irrigate crops. It wasn’t so much the consequences for the millions of people who eat food from California, it was more about myself getting cancer and dying young. I don’t know if I will ever get the story about interconnectedness on an emotional level.
Opening Blessing
We come here to work together and to declare ourselves people of Gaia. The work is not just about serving Gaia, but about learning that we are connected to every other living thing on the Earth, and that when the Earth's capacities for life are harmed, everyone is harmed, and that we should feel outrage as if it were an attack on ourselves and outrage as if it were an attack on the world, because the two are inseparable. As we work together today, may our tiny actions lead toward bringing Life. -- Blessed Be
