### Weekly Events Logistics
Weekend
Service rotation: Eric, Shelley, Brandon, Ben
- February 7 Service: 9:00 AM PDT, 12:00 EST (Ben)
- February 8 Work-Bee: 5:30 PM PST, 20:30 EST ... probably canceled (Sanders likely in Seattle to see baby Daniel, Ben likely too busy getting picked up from the Santa Barbara Airport)

Midweek
- February 5 Work-Bee: 6:30 PM PST, 21:30 EST (Sanders out due to having Carol and Vickki as dinner guests)

### 10-year celebration
- When: February 28, 2015
  - February 28, 2005 was when Shelley joined, and the First Follower is the most important person, according to a TED talk on starting movements
- Where:
- Who:
  - Just us?
  - People who were at Seed 2009?
  - People who came to later events, e.g. Hank & Gus & Ben's parents?
- What:
  - A cake with 10 candles and presents (e.g. Millennial Gaia statues, if we can find any for sale)
  - Watching videos, e.g. [Gaia's Heartbeat](/Gaia's_Heartbeat) and Symphony of Science
  - Singing
  - Launching little rockets
  - Looking at the stars
    - Could go to the Haggart observatory in Clackamas, or Rooster Rock
  - Get matching tattoos on our foreheads
  - Go to stonehenge at Maryhill (would probably have to be during the warmest part of the day)
  - Go to a laaaaaarge tree and hug it
    - Possibly Portland's largest Coast Redwood
  - A meal (lunch or dinner)

### Considerations for Seed Village
- Mandatory Logistics Issues … it’s got to work for kids and adults
  - Near places of employment
  - Good public transportation
  - Near existing schools (until we start our own)
  - Enough space for all contributing members to live there
  - Internet access
- Inspiration … it's got to be exciting enough to overcome our inertia
  - Green building features
  - Beautiful sacred meeting space/Temple
  - Food & flower garden
  - Stirring natural setting and/or vibrant urban setting (e.g. Forest Park)
- Non-mandatory but still important features
  - Common spaces for meals
  - Bikable
  - Workshop
  - Good multi-purpose meeting space

### SolSeed Business Chat
- Brandon … I’m thinking about getting a normal job and so might be out of play for such an endeavor for a few years
- Ben … I’m thinking about working for SpaceX sometime in the next few years, which would also be a problem … may not be a strong possibility
- Brandon … I’ve grown accustomed to having a fair amount of money to spend on things, and I don't know whether I'm committed enough to "starve" for a while
- Ben … one thing that worries me is that our top idea is synthetic biology thing … extremely controversial politically and way outside our areas of expertise … I’ve been waiting for the black hat session so that I could say that
- Brandon … I don't feel like there's something on our current list of ideas that I "can't not do"
- Ben … so that’s what you are looking for, something that is like “yep, I’ve got to dedicate my life to this!”
- Brandon … basically … the thing I'm most excited about right now is the science fiction that you're writing
- Ben … but of course that's not a viable business plan … people who make money off of writing science fiction are very few and far between
- Brandon … yeah, but you’re really good! as is Eric!
- Ben … I'm going to try to sell my work to a publisher, but I still wouldn't make any future financial plans based on it
- Brandon … another thing I'm proud of is The Seed and the Gaia's Heartbeat music video, even though the latter is kind of a failure … I'm proud of the artistic, creative things we've made in general
- Ben … I still say we haven't really promoted Gaia's Heartbeat enough … anyway, viral videos won't make us money directly, only if they point people to e.g. "donate money to the SolSeed Foundation!"

### Evaluation
- Brandon … wanting to continue our discernment and get to a point of tight focus
- Ben … I feel like we may need to adopt a long-term mindset that says “we’re going to be a success someday but we’re not necessarily going to go viral and have a million dollars in three years like we said at one point” … Brandon agrees :-)
