### Ideas on how to evaluate Holacracy
Suggestion 1: We get some friends together, assign them to some fake Roles and Circles, and hold a couple of mock Holacracy meetings to see how it goes with more people involved.
Suggestion 2: Each of us does a pros-and-cons list comparing Holacracy to one or two other governance structures we think might work (representative democracy, a corporate management with board of directors, a priesthood ranked by seniority, etc). Then we all read the lists and discuss them.
Suggestion 3: Write up scenarios that role play using Holacracy as we expect it to play out as our movement grows. Especially consider various scales (a few people, dozens, hundreds, thousands).
Suggestion 4: Find a large organization that already uses Holacracy and see if we can get invited to any of their meetings. Or at least watch videos of meetings from larger organizations.
### Closing Round
- Brandon … good meeting … +1 for bringing well-formed proposals (the work-bee to create them was good)
- Ben … surprised and pleased by how much we got done … of course doing two different meetings in the same chunk of time is a little weird, but it worked
- Eric … … … I didn’t feel like we did get that much done, it felt like you guys had already done a bunch of work and I was just there to give a thumbs up … I didn’t feel like I was as much a part as in some other meetings
- Ben … well, next time bring your own proposal :-)
- Ben … we need to let people know in advance that a governance meeting is coming up
- Patrick … I always feel out of place in these meetings because I don’t have any of the history and a lot of this stuff is how you guys like this better than that. I think this (Holacracy and the changes that come with it) is a great change but I don’t really know because I wasn’t around for the old bit (traditional work-bee, traditional roles, etc…) I particularly don’t know how to evaluate Holacracy or changes that we’re doing because of it, because I don’t know what was before … Holacracy is what it’s always been for me. Makes these meetings hard to evaluate or contribute to because I don’t know what the change is.
