Brandon's Crisis <-- hyperbole
Brandon ... thinking about the effectiveness of volunteer efforts in general and thinking about the Kindred festival and the eco-village. What would happen even if we succeeded. It doesn't seem big enough to justify the effort. So the effort has to be worth it for its own sake, not the end result. Brandon ... the goal is far enough away and impossible enough that I want to just do some small things that aren't clearly related, but that are worth feeling proud of. Eric ... that's why I built the bike pump. You can't just talk about something that is never going to get done, you've got to do something. If it is something that is really small, at least it is a step. I was inspired by Paul Krafel, he went out and saw a problem and he started working on it. In the end he didn't necessarily change the world, but he changed one set of ravines and it was enough to be proud of and write a book about.
OnePagePlan
Agenda
- <s>Where do we want to be in 20 yrs? In 10 yrs? In 5 yrs?</s>
- Boil down these goals into short evocative statements with substantial elaboration behind them
- <s>Read through values, beliefs etc of the OnePagePlan</s>
- What are the projects that we want to do soon?
- What are the first 3-4 projects?
- Consider order and overlap of projects first and ask (how long is it going to take?)

Evaluation
- Ben ... I feel good that we made some progress, but sad that we seem to be having attendance problems (also true with the GMOP group ... not sure whether the bus I'm getting on will take me someplace where other people will be)* Eric: I can't get enough of these calls ... I want it to be longer
- Brandon: I just wanted to do the work.
