### SolSeed Meetup
First event: Dinner to introduce ourselves and discuss the SolSeed Movement
- Guests would help set out or clean up from the meal
- Start at 6:30, eat at 7
- Bits of ritual: standing behind our chairs, lighting candles, blessing
- To encourage thoughtful and deliberate discussion
- To separate it from ordinary life
- Ask questions during the meal
- Introduce SolSeed during dessert
- Placemats with talking points on them
- Avoid argumentativeness
- Ask people to consider attending a weekly service
### Winter Solstice ideas
- Star party
- The main problem Brandon sees is that there might not be visible stars
- Hiking in the dark could be the main point
- Mt. Taber instead of Larch Mountain? (This would mean zero chance of seeing more than a few stars)
- Go to the planetarium at OMSI (would have to be afternoon, not evening)
- Put up glow-in-the-dark stars in Sequoia's room
- Yule log, yule tree, socializing, candles
