[Detachment](/Detachment) is an ideal that means not allowing success or failure at a project or task to control your emotions or sense of self-worth. It does not mean you don't care about the project, just that you can more easily accept failure and move on. Detachment is a major topic of the book *[The Untethered Soul](/The_Untethered_Soul)*.
