Observership is the concept that Life is capable of detecting, understanding and modeling itself. This is most developed in conscious beings but even plants are capable of detecting other plants and reacting to them, not simply according to the basic laws of physics but, through complex arrangements of atoms, they [[Transcend]] the limits of physical interaction, they store information and then use that information to guide action, and unexpected behaviours emerge.
