* Dr. Mautner’s Gaianism says “don’t let machines take over, but do evolve humans to be able to live in space”
* We’re pro-diversity/complexity-of-machine-life, so maybe we’re Diversitarians
** The thing we’re saddest about is the fact that humans are wiping out so much diversity
** We do like habits, which are conservative (e.g. Brandon ate the same Subway sandwich for lunch every workday for a while) – lack of diversity in our day-to-day lives
Possible futures
* The worst would be if machines wiped out complex life and then turned out to be insane in a way that led to wiping themselves out
* Dr. Mautner kind of wants to replace all life with his evolved space-dwelling humans
