* Benjamin … I read an article about white fragility (white people being emotionally unable to cope with conversations about race) … and it made me feel really tired. Like I can understand the moral case for toughing it out and having those conversations to learn what I need to know to do less damage, but I don’t think I’ll ever have the energy for it.

* Ben … Arguments are painful to me. It feels like a lot of things in my life are painful right now, and yet I just have to cope with them and get better at coping. I guess maybe that is the definition of growing older or more mature (maybe both).
