[[A Space Elevator Solstice]] was the SolSeed Winter Solstice celebration for 2016, held mainly at [[Ben]]'s apartment in Redmond, WA. It was Ben's idea for an alternative to [[Eric]]'s tradition of [http://www.meetup.com/SolSeed-Ottawa/events/91063842/ launching rockets on the Winter Solstice], and was inspired by the [http://www.isec.org/sec/index.php/family-science-fest space elevator climber contests for kids] at Seattle's annual [http://spacewiki.com/Space_Elevator_Conference Space Elevator Conference].
