== Fall Equinox ==
Ben proposes attending one or more People’s Climate March events
* The one in New York City, http://peoplesclimate.org/march/, will be historic, but Ben doesn’t know about traveling from the West Coast just to be near the latest UN climate summit
** Eric’s friend Jessica wants to go to a huge maker faire (http://makerfaire.com/) in New York around the equinox; Eric could go with them and also visit the march
** Ben observes that if money is a concern, SolSeed can help fund the trip
** Eric already has a colorful sign: http://wiki.solseed.org/OttawaPride2014
* The one in Portland, http://act.350.org/event/peoples_climate/7762, would be the easiest for the Sanders
** See also http://350pdx.org
** Starts at Waterfront Park at 3 PM
** Shelley has a triathlon that day, but would be done in time for the Portland event
** We could do a “bike to the event” event like we did for Moving Planet
** Perhaps we could bike to a restaurant afterward
** Also consider having a sign-making event on Saturday
* The one in Ottawa is here: http://act.350.org/event/peoples_climate/7765
** It’s about religious response to the climate crisis
** Eric thinks he’s not allowed to participate, because he’s a government employee and the march goes straight through the government district
== Greenhouses ==
* [[Duck Weed Experiment One]] turned out not to have good enough sterilization; considering next steps
* Brandon suggests taking pictures every day
* http://makezine.com/2013/02/06/atmospheric-gas-detector-kit-now-available-in-the-maker-shed/
== Daily practice ==
* http://tdp.me
** Brandon suggests we all use this to keep track of our meditation
== Project Work ==
Patrick is working on installing Linux on Eric’s laptop
* Eric thinks it’s just better to use Linux when programming microcontrollers for the greenhouse project
== Closing Thoughts/Evaluation ==
* Eric … it was good to finally meet again … my elephant is happy about that
* Brandon … Fun! (muted)
* Ben … Happy that people like my idea for the equinox and I hope that Eric gets to go the big march in NY
* Patrick … Quite productive - I figured out which wireless card we have and downloaded the driver for Linux but it’s in a compressed file which we can’t uncompress … I am getting there.
