This is a music video we're developing, with most of the online work occurring [http://thesanders.us/GaiasHeartbeat on an EtherPad]. == Creative Vision == Use time-lapse video to show the rhythms of the earth on a human "heartbeat"/human breathing time-scale ... goal is to create empathy for the earth as a being in the same way we have empathy for another human being ... feel the earth as living in a visceral sense. == Logistics == Brandon would write a draft of lyrics and give them to John. John would use and modify to work with the video as it unfolds. * Stock footage (we pay for it, not included in John's fee) * YouTube or other sources ... how do we feel about permissions? * Probably $3000 for a Terra Lumina type song and video editing of the pulsing earth stuff * Full rights to use however granted by John and Will === Sequence === * Draft of lyrics * Write the song * Work the video (change song as necessary) === Contract === Brandon will pay John $3000 to create a music video (for now entitled Gaia's Heartbeat). The first $1000 will be paid up front, the second $1000 upon delivery of the song, the third $1000 upon delivery of the video. Any stock video or other content expenses will also be the responsibility of Brandon ... but John will check in with Brandon before racking up these additional expenses. If we can, let's license any video we use.
