- Eric … my car share just got two cargo vans - yay!! (will be cheap to move heavy stuff like renovation materials) … also I found out I can take robotics courses part-time at Algonquin
- Ben … I`m feeling a bit sick. Not enough to miss work or anything but it kind of makes it hard to motivate myself. Did manage to get through my graphics homework; well, almost all of it.

Shiny Green Tribal Convergence
Eric will be going to Jambala to see Michelle perform at some point during the event … not sure when yet, but it might work to have others attend as well
- The style of dance for Jambala is called "Tribal Fusion" … maybe we should use that phrase! :)
Spectacle
Ben has been to 3 science museums that have an exhibit called Science on a Sphere; a sphere suspended from the ceiling with four projectors projecting presentations on it. We have one projector and could maybe get someone like Bob Sanders who likes to make things to make a hemispherical screen, and we could project distorted images onto the hemisphere that would then become undistorted by the counter distortion of the sphere. We could show things like Earth's bioregions and Earth in visible and infrared light and maybe Mars
- Eric: and maybe Pluto because the New Horizons images will be brand new at that point. And maybe Ceres because the Dawn images are still pretty new.

Co-conveners
- Eric: Our criteria revolve around us, which isn't very attractive for other groups … it would be better to focus on a theme that we share
- Ben: But I think we need to invite people who know and trust us enough to be able to run an event that would be at all useful to them
- Eric: That's a very small potential audience
- Ben: Then maybe we do need to spend more time building our networks before we hold this event … Brandon apparently focused too much on being able to get the people he met at Pantheacon to be co-conveners
- Eric: If we just had a "naturalistic religion" event, that would be more likely to attract John Halstead and Mark Green
- Ben: And then if they commit, we might get Michael Dowd
- Eric: Only if we also include environmentalism as a theme … which would probably work well
Summer Solstice
- Eric will presumably do the triathlon
- Wants to change the location, which involves a lot of running/biking on roads
- Not really that excited about announcing it on Meetup, which generally doesn't work
- Will maybe just do it with Michelle and Patrick at the cottage
- Ben should talk with the Sanders about throwing one together in Oregon
Eric's robot project
Robot designed to climb trees
- Could harvest fruit and nuts
- Could help develop agriculture that harmonizes with the local ecosystem by grafting fruit and nut tree branches onto more common trees near Ottawa
- Focus on the top branches because fruit usually doesn't ripen anywhere else in that climate
- Start with a remote control, then work toward making it AI-driven
Evaluation
- Ben … This was fun. Its always a little bit frustrating when we have to go and talk to someone who is missing from the call after the call instead of during but that is life.
- Eric … It was good to spend some time with you … it may not have felt all that productive, but it's still good to let our elephants play together
Closing Blessing
