Kindred
- Brandon talked to Shelley a fair amount, and she is very resistant to doing a great big event on such short notice with Ren still being so small ... next summer would be better
- Ben: Doing it in 2015 was the original plan
- Windward folks have been developing their site ... we could have a small event this year where we go there and help them
- Ben: And maybe do a mini-Open Space (WikiVanning)
- Brandon: We could talk to Hank about the cost and effort involved in putting up big, covered domes at Windward (or temporary ones at Cape Lookout or wherever)
- Tony, founder of Trackers Earth, says they have a property in Sandy, Oregon and a program where you can be part of their village for a weekend every year ... they do a lot of fun things that people enjoy, and we can learn from that

- Brandon is about ready to call it ... video is jerky in a couple spots ... tweak the SolSeed.org
- Ben still has some critical feedback ... global ice/snow animations still feel artificial to me, and I want the Hudson Bay one flipped around for accuracy ... and I would like to discuss the possibility of showing really large groups of people and/or other animals, maybe doing things in unison
- Brandon is more interested in personal connection/empathy rather than "flipping the hive switch," but doesn't feel super strongly about large groups vs. small ones
- Eric hasn't watched the new version yet
Second Liturgical Season
The season of Conflatorium (melting; tentative name) is the second liturgical season in the SolSeed Movement's Liturgical Calendar. It symbolises the emergence of complex life from Iceball Earth 590 million years ago. During this season the Weekly Service Calls may use the following draft Opening ceremony:
We gather to mark the passing of a week
To align our hearts as one.
(Light the Sol candle) (take an ice cube from bowl and hold it in your hand)
Ice ... just ... ice ...
and then ... [gasp] ... Melting
(Drop the ice cube into warm/hot water)
Warm Sun! Open Water! Dry Land! Scented Breeze! a sea teaming with life ...
Under the frozen ice, new lifeforms were born.
And now they emerge to tell their story!
(pour the ice cubes (or big block of ice) that have things (e.g., trilobites) frozen in them, into the bowl of warm water)
This story begins with cells, joining to sister cells,
the invention that grew the individual to any size!
(Participants clasp hands, or join two hands clasped if you are alone)
Next came the mouth, the first structure,
Both the feeder of animals,
and the singularity (imperative/discontinuity/focus?) that
gave animals direction.
("Chase" and then eat some food, e.g. seaweed, suishi, shrimp, or goldfish crackers ... participant's choice)
Then came the senses!
The sensing which gave the first animals reason to swim.
The sensing which still directs us today!
(Put fingers on mouth, nose, eye, temple, and ear, thus touching all five senses)
Finally, Animals secreted calcium,
Armour, Shells, Teeth, Bones,
(Shake the fossil shakers)
Massive, piling, surfaces folded through open water,
A billion allies emerged,
Life learned to make new reefs, new worlds,
(building motions of one hand on top of another going up up up?)

- Brandon was originally going to make a Gaia page, then decided Lauren needs a page
- Brandon expects to abandon it after a while
- Maybe she could post snippets of things she says in the books, creating a full timeline of her life
- Eric: Or start her at 4 1/2 years old, which would match the timeline of the books (her birthdate is July 20, 2009)
- Brandon: That seems like way too long a time commitment, but interesting idea ... I'll have to sit with it a little
- Facebook already has various Earthseed-related groups and pages we could maybe link to

- Ben ... I think I like getting our agenda finished better than finishing on time, especially when I don't have another pressing time commitment.
