Buckleberry Report
Eric went up there twice last weekend
- On Saturday I looked around the cliff facing the swamp … there's a huge amount of beaver activity there
- There's a beaver dam holding back 5 feet of water … then the water trickles through an embankment into the lake
- While I was looking at a stream that flows out of the lake, 6 golden eagles flew over
- I walked up the 300-foot hill and lay down at the top, and the eagles came back
- I also visited the nearby Lanark Eco-Village (LEV) and had interesting conversations
- I showed Michelle the property on Sunday
Beltane
Portland
- Do the ivy removal next Saturday April 30, starting at 9 AM
- Location: along the Marquam Trail in the south part of the park. Meet at the SW 12th and Gaines trailhead.
- Drop off Ren at a birthday party at noon, then go to a celebratory meal at a restaurant
- Let Sequoia choose which restaurant in that area
Gatineau
- Eric couldn't find tree planting activities yet on Tree Ottawa … waiting on a reply to an email to the Rideau Conservation Authority
- Thinking about going to Wheeler`s Sugar Shack for breakfast. It is near Buckleberry (about 30 minutes back toward Ottawa, very close to the LEV). (Maybe invite Mike and the gang from LEV to join us)

Summer Solstice
Moment of Solstice: Monday June 20th at 3:34 PM PDT / 18:34 EDT
- Celebrate the weekend of the 18th and 19th?
- Ben needs to look into good hikes to do near Seattle
- Brandon ... what if we did a YayLifeTri-type hike thingy?
- Eric … I know I’m doing an 8km kilt run in Perth (about 40km from Buckleberry) on the 25th … but I guess the previous weekend is open
- Could swim in the Ottawa river for the first part of a YayLifeTri

Evaluation
- Ben … I need a new laptop, but I’m glad that we are making progress on all these events and I hope that at some point we get the three of them dialed in enough that we can do other things as well.
- Brandon … I think I am sick :( I don’t feel very good. Got up really early and rode my bike for an hour and that felt really good and then I fell apart for the rest of the day. {Get well soon Bro!}
- Eric … It felt good to work with you guys again after such a long time, I’ve got to stop missing these meetings, it hurts when I do.
