We will be reduced to mere savages fighting and killing over water, food and other necesities that will become exhausted as in Ms. Butler's books. It is important that explore other worlds for living or we will become nothing other than, "smooth-skin dinosaurs--Here today, gone tomorrow, our bones mixed with the bones and ashes of our cities..." (Parable of the Sower Ch18) But while we are still here, we must take care of this world because all life is precious. Every life, every animal, every living being sould not be taken for granted. Not caring for the less evolved is harming our own species; it makes it easy to dehumanize others and feel superior to them, to take advantage of them.

Lets continue this discussion because it is important to ask questions and to learn from one another and teach each other.

In the SolSeedCreed we call the body of all life "SolSeed" and call humanity "SolSeed's intelligent spark." How would we have to be in order to send out starships to other worlds? --Brandon

Brandon what do you mean by, "How would we have to be in order to send out starships to other worlds?"?--Joy Marie 22:27, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

I've noticed that in my own life sometimes I am being a stuck victim who is powerless. During these times my way of being makes the idea of collaborating with others to create starships seem ridiculous. At other times I'm a powerful creator in my life. During these times I think about what sort of organizing principles would allow a large group of people to coalesce and create amazing things. Some ways of being are life draining and some ways of being are life giving. So, how would I have to be as an individual, and how would we have to be as a group, in order to actually send life to other star systems? Do you think we would have to invent new ways of organizing ourselves? --Brandon

Well I think first things first, we'd have to find a planet that is habitable for humans. Until that time there isn't much we can do. --Joy Marie 00:53, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
