During the summer of 2020, SolSeed decided to begin naming saints. We decided to mimic the Catholic process for declaring saints. We use a four step process:

1) Servants of Gaia: A Steward of SolSeed may nominate any person as a Servant of Gaia. The definition of Servant of Gaia is a person who has led Life filled with Saintly Acts. Saintly Acts are acts of Passion, Empathy and Wisdom sufficient to impress the Council of the Stewards of SolSeed. To impress the council the acts must be pointed toward the Primary Obligation, the Great Birthing or the Twin Obligation. The person need not have been aware of the Obligations or that their acts point toward them. The person may have acted for other reasons. It is sufficient that their acts contributed toward the Obligations. For example, if the person spent their Life researching a technology which later became crucial to the functioning of spacecraft, then that would count even if the person had no idea their work could be used in that way. The council may consider nominations as it sees fit on Lammas at the Festival of Saints. A vote of 50% plus one (1) of the Stewards present at the Festival is adequate to elevate the person to Servant of Gaia.

2) Venerated Servants of Gaia: A Steward of SolSeed may nominate any person, who has been recognized as a Servant of Gaia for at least one year, as a Venerated Servant of Gaia. The definition of Venerated Servant of Gaia is a person who has led a Life filled with Heroic Saintly Acts. Heroic Saintly Acts are Saintly Acts on the scale of a Hero. The Council of Stewards will decide if an act is sufficiently grand to be called Heroic. Again a vote of 50% + 1 of Stewards at the Festival of Lammas is adequate to venerate a Servant of Gaia.

3) Beatified Servants of Gaia: A Steward of SolSeed may nominate any Servant of Gaia who has been venerated for at least one year, as a Beautified Servant of Gaia. The definition of Beatified Servant of Gaia, is a person who has accomplished one Miracle or Martyrdom. A miracle is an accomplishment of something that seemed impossible until shortly before it happened. Martyrdom is trying to accomplish something that seems impossible, and showing that it is possible without actually achieving it.

4) Canonized Servants of Gaia: A Steward of SolSeed may nominate any Servant of Gaia who has been beatified for at least one year, as a Cannonized Servant of Gaia. The definition of a Canonized Servant of Gaia, is a person who has accomplished two Miracles or one Miracle and one Martyrdom.
